Brian Anken - Founder & CEO

Brian Anken is a seasoned athletics administrator and collegiate lacrosse coach whose career reflects a deep commitment to leadership, mentorship, and program development.

Brian’s coaching journey spans multiple institutions and roles. He began as an assistant coach at RIT and Pfeiffer, before taking head‑coaching positions at Mars Hill University, Lycoming College and Virginia Military Institute. At VMI, he led the program to historic milestones, including the school’s first victory over a service academy and the development of two players drafted into Major League Lacrosse.

In 2016, Brian accepted the dual role of Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach and Assistant Athletic Director at Davis & Elkins College, where he also oversaw facilities and logistics. During his tenure, he continued emphasizing character development, accountability, and competitive excellence among his student‑athletes.

In April 2017, Brian joined St. Joseph’s Collegiate Institute in Buffalo, New York, as the Director of Athletics, and later advanced to Vice President of Athletics in 2024. In this role, he leads the school’s athletic vision, fostering growth, integrity, and student engagement across all sports.

Beyond wins and losses, Brian is known for mentoring young coaches and student-athletes. Over his career, several former players and assistants have gone on to high school and collegiate coaching roles themselves. He has also served on multiple NCAA and business advisory committees, and is the co-founder of the Coaches Consulting Group LLC.
